Therefore booking our Romantic location package was the perfect choice for them.

Their charming and romantic wedding day started with a ceremony at serene Maribo Lake. Maribo Lakes are an exceptional nature reserve set on island-dotted-lakes with unique birdlife, beautiful rural landscapes, and a fascinating cultural history. Tricia and Jim said ‘I do’ by the shores of the lake next to the majestic and historically rich 600-year-old Maribo cathedral.

Despite it being January in Denmark, we created a really cosy and authentic atmosphere with a crackling open fire, traditional Scandinavian music and sagas (poems and stories) all inspired by Viking style weddings. We also used natural adornments like candles and candle lamps instead of decorations to create the Danish ‘hygge’ vibe. Tricia and Jim toasted their union with champagne enjoyed with traditional Danish canapes.

After the ceremony we took Tricia and Jim to explore the beautiful islands of Denmark. And as you can see from the images on this page, our adventure wedding photographer captured every moment perfectly.

A couple have fun since they enjoying their January Denmark elopement wedding.

Tricia looked amazing in her traditional wedding dress that was complimented by a gorgeous white shrug that looked so perfect for a winter elopement wedding and gave her a look of real old school glamour. This was accompanied by a simple and elegant bouquet. Jim looked very smart and we loved the way his blue tie perfectly complimented the simple flowers.

As you can see from these images, when it comes to idyllic island wedding destinations the Danish Islands make the perfect location. The blend of romance and adventure was so well suited to this fun-loving couple. It really is no surprise that couples from all over the world choose to have their overseas elopement weddings in Denmark.
