Manting and Chikwan- a lovely couple from Hong Kong - chose to elope and get married in Denmark in a Danish Castle and opted for pretty Vindeholme Castle on the beautiful Island of Lolland.
They booked it through our Castle Wedding Package that saw us take care of all of the boring legal and admin paperwork, leaving Manting and Chikwan to get on with planning the more fun aspects of their wedding adventure in Denmark.
Vindeholme is an early 20th-century mansion that overlooks the Baltic Sea. This pretty house has its own forest and beach, so as a wedding destination it gives you the best of all worlds.
Manting looked absolutely stunning in an utterly enchanting strapless dress with an A-line skirt that gave her the most perfect silhouette in all of our images. It was covered in sparkles that perfectly caught the light and she teamed it with a pretty tiara, a simple back length veil and some to-die-for gold sparkly shoes. Her dress perfectly suited her petite frame and she looked every inch a fairy tale bride.
Denmark Castle Elopement
Chikwan looked very smart in a blue three-piece soft tweed suit with a matching bow tie. These two were so photogenic, and in such a beautiful location, they certainly the made job of our adventure wedding photographer an easy one!
Their wedding ceremony was held outside in the formal gardens in front of the house and included a traditional handfasting ritual. It was a beautiful setting with the castle making an impressive backdrop.
After the ceremony, we walked into the nearby woodland to get some gorgeous images of Manting and Chikwan amongst the trees, before heading back into Vindeholme castle to celebrate with champagne.
We then enjoyed a little photoshoot inside Vindeholme Castle with its opulent period interiors making an exquisite backdrop. The images of Manting and Chikwan under the crystal chandelier by the beautiful white draped French doors are amongst our favourites of the day. They look like something out of a professional bridal shoot. Here, take a look!
Fairy-tale weddings at Vindeholme Castle
We then headed outside where a horse drawn carriage was waiting to take Manting and Chikwan for a tour around the Island. It was the perfect end to their fairy-tale castle wedding. And them seated in the carriage felt like the perfect image to close the story of Manting and Chikwan’s beautiful castle wedding in Denmark.
